Chicken Bowl

Haha what are these weird bad reviews saying things taste bland? This place has been exactly the same since I was a kid. Pretty sure even the bowls are the same. This place has always been absolutely amazing! You can get half rice and half noodles. People saying the noodles are bland... that's because they are noodles. You put sauce on them. The rice is perfect. They use a machine. The sauce is a house sauce, so it's unique, same with the hotsauce. I ask for extra of both.

We've been there 100's of times over several decades. Food is prepared only when you order, it's tasty, inexpensive and quickly served! Like someone else said, it's like a better Yoshinoya. We much prefer the noodles over the rice, but both are good. We get extra veggies for a dollar. A large for 7 bucks could easily feed 2 people!

I have been coming here since 1996. I have moved out of state for 9 years, but come every time I am in town. The lady here has always been the same. Friendly, asking about my family, always. She knows my 2 ex-husbands even! I love her! No the atmospherr hasn't changed in all that time. The soda machine, high chair, the menu. Only the prices but still a bargain! Cash only forever, but now takes Zelle I see! This is a chicken bowl without the sickeningly sweet sugary terryaki sauce you get everywhere else. It's savory. The veggies are warm and soft. It is unlike bowls you get anywhere else- and that should NEVER change. If you want a BBQ sauce style terryaki go somewhere else and don't whine about the flavor here.

So happy I found them. I use to go to one in Oxnard and after it was sold, it just wasn’t the same. Never knew this location existed until looking for a bite to eat in the area. Will drive back just for this

Can't use a card but there is an atm in the store. Food is really good!

Love the owner, she always remembers me and or my wife and grandkids by name. Nice to be able to order”the usual” for my wife and I and not worry if the order is correct. Our weekly take-out that’s healthy and not too fattening ;)

One of my go to'z for many years. Consistently good & reasonable prices .

I have been coming here since 1998!! My daughter was 1 when she first had the bowl of noodles. Now she brings her one year old when we come to town! When we visit Simi Valley, this is our first stop!! And several stops....love it.
